VF-201 "Hunters"
Squadron history VF-201 was established as a naval reserve squadron at NAS Dallas in Texas on 25 July 1970 with assets from VF-124. Their nickname was derived from their radio callsign: "Hunter". The unit converted to the F-4 Phantom in 1976, then to the F-14 in 1987 and to the F/A-18 in 1996. It was disbanded in June 2007.
